The work in progress is welcome

Bring the messy version.

A community work table set out with markers, sticky notes, and prototype cards
A few ideas, a table, and a place to start.
01 /

Show what you’re making.

A rough build, a character sketch, a mechanic on paper. You don’t need a finished game to share your work.

02 /

Get another perspective.

Talk through a problem. Let someone try your prototype. Find the question you hadn’t thought to ask.

03 /

Take the next small step.

Leave with useful feedback, a new connection, or a clearer idea of what to work on next.

Bring a project to a meetup

First time here?

You can start
with hello.

No polished pitch required.

Do I need experience making games?

No. Students, hobbyists, professionals, and curious beginners are welcome. An interest in making games is a good place to start.

What should I bring?

Bring a question, an idea, or something you’re working on. A laptop or notebook can help if you want to show a project, but you can also come to listen and meet people.

Where and when do you meet?

Check our Meetup group for current dates, locations, and RSVP details. Always check the event listing before you travel.

Is this just for programmers?

Games need many kinds of creators. Artists, writers, designers, composers, voice actors, educators, and playtesters are part of the conversation too.

Southwest Michigan, let’s make something.

Your next connection
could start a great game.
